This was one of those designs that came together beautifully from the first sketch to the final installation.
The gate was fabricated from mild steel, with the angel silhouette cut and shaped by hand. The wings spread across the full width of the frame, with feather details formed from individual steel sections welded into place.
The frame was built from 30mm square box section, with the angel figure formed from the same box section and 3mm flat bar.
This was installed at the entrance to a private garden (My grandparents’), where it catches the afternoon light beautifully. They wanted something that felt protective and welcoming, and I think we achieved exactly that.
